A new robust miniature pH meter for liquid chromatography detection from Biotech Fluidics
The Runge mikron 91 inline pH probe is a full-fledged liquid chromatography detector squeezed into a tiny format

This robust flow-through sensor delivers accurate, temperature-compensated pH measurements of the liquids passing through any of its two biocompatible flow cell design options. The device offers easy integration with software and equipment, while providing extended calibration stability and quick maintenance.
This makes the mikron 91 miniature detector ideal for following pH changes within liquid chromatographic separations at analytical and preparative scale. Its versatile format is also adapted to the requirements of pH control in continuous bioprocessing, as well as simulated moving bed (SMB) applications, and many other implementations of inline pH monitoring in fluidic systems.
With a diameter of just 32 mm (1.25”) and a length of only 115 mm (4.5”), there are nearly no limits to where the mikron 91 can be installed. Its robust flow cell design in PEEK comes in two variants (1.0- or 2.2-mm internal diameter), both being pressure tolerant up to 10 bar and able to handle flow rates up to 1 L/min (1000 mL/min).
The small footprint contains a fully temperature-compensated pH-meter including a long-life ISFET measuring electrode, plus a KCl or Ag/AgCl reference electrode that is quick and easy to replace during maintenance.
The mikron 91 pH-meter is easy to connect as it communicates through and draw power from a single USB-C port (optional RS-485). Drivers are provided for several popular chromatography software packages, alternatively an open protocol can be used for customized implementation. The detector conforms to international standards and is CE marked.
