A New Standard for Inline Particle Measurement: METTLER TOLEDO FBRM® G Series
18 Apr 2011METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the next generation FBRM®–model G400 and G600 instruments. Based on 20 years of innovation supporting particle research and manufacturing, the FBRM G® series has been completely redesigned. Now, it is even easier to understand, optimize, and control particle and droplet distributions in real time.
“This latest technology, found in FBRM® G400 and FBRM® G600, establishes a new standard for in-process particle measurement. It improves accuracy while also making FBRM® easier to use—and easier to understand,” explained Benjamin Smith, Market Manager, METTLER TOLEDO. Advanced digital signal processing provides more accurate chord length distributions relative to both inline and offline microscopy. In turn, this creates improved sensitivity over a wider range of process concentrations. Stuck particle correction also provides the most reliable measurements possible.
Providing more than just improved accuracy, G Series models are also simple to use. Compact, portable and ergonomic, their small footprint makes them ideal for laboratory use. With new interchangeable designs, probes provide maximum versatility and offer real-time measurement in vessels from less than 50mL to great than 20,000l.
FBRM® G400 facilitates laboratory research and development. It enables real-time optimization of processes such as crystallization, wet milling, and suspension/emulsion homogenization without sampling. FBRM® G600, is designed for laboratory-scale use in vessels larger than 2 L.
Additionally, the established iC FBRM™ particle characterization software delivers key information to help users develop a strong understanding of their particle system dynamics, optimize experimental design, speed development time and quickly identify and solve production issues.
“We feel confident that FBRM® G Series, combined with the latest iC software, will continue helping researchers and production engineers gain the most from their lab experiments and production environments,” concluded Mr Smith.
