The new Techpro II ™ hand-held water quality meters are the latest in a distinguished product line from the Myron L Company of Carlsbad, USA. Announcing these instruments, Camlab of Cambridge has also announced a new, exclusive distribution agreement for the full range of Myron L products in the UK.

The two models in the Techpro II range use the proven technology used in the famous Ultrameter™ range to deliver excellent analytical performance at a very competitive price. The TP1 measures conductivity, TDS and temperature with a specified accuracy to ±1% of reading (better accuracy is achievable with relative ease) and the TPH1 adds pH to these parameters. The unique design has no vulnerable external probe, so is exceptionally rugged, and an inert, fully waterproof (IP67/NEMA 6) moulded case means that the user can take measurements by simply dipping the meter in the sample without fear of damaging either electronics or measuring electrodes. Alternatively, the sample can be poured into the measuring cell.

Calibration is very simple with the Myron L range of calibration solutions and buffers – just pour in the standard, set the value and press a button. The unique 442 calibration solutions for TDS, by more closely representing real samples, give much better correlation than can be achieved by the usual “conductivity x factor” approach, particularly at extremes of temperature. All these aspects combine to make high quality, accurate water quality measurements easily accessible to all staff.

For more demanding applications, the Ultrameter II range offers more parameters – resistivity, ORP, higher specifications and more flexibility in use, not least because of the extremely resistant VALOX case.
