ARTEL to Showcase New Advanced Capabilities for Liquid Handler Quality Assurance at Lab Automation

19 Dec 2007

At Lab Automation 2008, ARTEL will present several new features of its MVS® Multichannel Verification System, including an advanced automation function for streamlined performance verification of automated liquid handlers.

A rapid, easy-to-use system that provides NIST-traceable results, the MVS is now able to automatically measure target volumes in groups of microtiter plates to minimize manual intervention during liquid handler volume verification. The system’s improved user interface allows for more frequent volume checks and easy integration with existing liquid handling platforms.

ARTEL will unveil this new MVS automation feature at Lab Automation (booth # 551), January 27-29, 2008 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, Palm Springs, CA.

Also at the conference, for the first time ever, ARTEL will demonstrate this feature and additional new MVS capabilities by running the system with automated liquid handlers from industry leaders Beckman Coulter, Caliper Life Sciences, Tecan, and Velocity11. In addition to performing the new automation function, the MVS will be testing automated liquid handler performance for low-volume DMSO transfers; interfacing with plate readers from other manufacturers for in-process quality control checks; and verifying the accuracy of dilution steps.
