Ashtead Expands Emission Monitors Hire Fleet

2 Oct 2006

Ashtead Technology Rentals has announced an investment of over £400K in gas detection and emission monitoring instruments for hire.

Ashtead’s James Carlyle says “We have invested heavily in the latest technologies so that those customers needing portable or semi-continuous monitoring equipment can have quick and easy access to the best equipment without the extra cost and hassle of having to buy it”

Ashtead’s fleet of instruments for gas monitoring includes world-leading brands such as Horiba, Bernath, Rae, Testo, MSA and Draeger.

The Horiba PG250 is one of Ashtead’s most popular instruments. It is a portable, MCERTS approved monitor for compliance monitoring of NOx, SO2, CO, CO2 and O2. Unlike other portable analysers the PG250 does not rely on disposable electrochemical sensors; it employs the same measurement techniques as permanently installed CEMS.

The Bernath 3006 is also extremely popular - a portable, MCERTS approved FID for the measurement of VOCs. It is used to measure cold, hot, corrosive or condensable organic gases with measuring ranges from 0-1ppm to 0-10%volume.
