Aspectrics, Inc., the innovator of patented Encoded Photometric Infrared (EP-NIR) and Encoded Photometric Near Infrared (EP-NIR) spectroscopy, will be showcasing its range of innovative biodiesel analyzers on booth #6753 at PITTCON® 2008, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, March 1- March 7, 2008.

The recently launched new Aspectrics Biodiesel Quality analyzer 1000 (BQA 1000) will make its debut at PITTCON 2008. The BQA 1000 is a complete at-line package for accurate and efficient biodiesel analysis. Designed for simplicity and ease-of-use, the BQA 1000 provides fast and accurate results in less than 60 seconds. The novel analyzer incorporates the revolutionary Aspectrics EP-NIR technology, a robust sampling probe and an easy to use graphical user interface which requires little or no end-user training. This comprehensive at-line system enables users to carry out biodiesel production quality control and to analyze the biodiesel production process from start to finish.

In addition, the innovative Aspectrics BQA 1000 is a turnkey system pre-calibrated for a number of biodiesel production applications including, incoming oil inspection, methanol quality and final B100 product quality. As a result, the Aspectrics’ BQA 1000 can help tune the production process improving efficiency and maximizing profits.

Also being showcased alongside the BQA 1000 will be Aspectrics’ MultiComponent 2750 Biofuels analyzer. The MultiComponent 2750 Biofuels analyzer is an extension of the 2750 EP-NIR analyzer that was awarded honorable mention at the Editor Awards during Pittcon 2007. The extended capabilities allow real-time on-line analysis for incoming oils, in process mono, di- and triglycerides as well as various contaminates in B100. In addition, the Aspectrics 2750 Biofuels analyzer can measure water content in ethanol as well as determining blend rations in the field for biodiesel and ethanol/gasoline blends.

The MultiComponent 2750 Biofuels analyzer is a highly flexible platform able to provide pass/fail information on multiple biofuel contaminants before samples are sent out for ASTM certification. With a compact and rugged design the analyzer is easy to integrate into the production process as well and packaging for field deployment.
