Automated Studies of Cell Attachment & Spreading
7 Oct 2007The NEW Electric Cell-substrate Impedance Sensing (ECIS) System from BTX makes Automated Studies of Cell Attachment and Spreading with the NEW 8 Well Cellular Impedance System.
The ECIS 800 provides a novel method to perform real time cell monitoring, electroporation, and wounding.
The system measures change in impedance of a small electrode to AC current flow to observe changes in cell movement and confluence.
The highly specialized 8-well slides use an array of gold film electrodes that connect to the ECIS 800 electronics allowing multiple preparations to be studied in parallel.
