GERSTEL is presenting a novel Vortex and Centrifuge option for the GERSTEL MultiPurpose Sampler (MPS XL). Sample preparation steps such as liquid-liquid extraction can now be performed faster and more efficiently with the benefit of improved phase separation by using vortexing and medium level centrifugation, for example when performing QuEChERS clean-up. Replaceable rotors for 2 mL or 10 mL vials are available.

The GERSTEL MPS XL features one or two independent liquid handling towers to perform sample preparation and sample introduction in one combined autosampler and liquid handling robot.
Solutions for automated sample preparation include Solid Phase Extraction (SPE); Dispersive Solid Phase Extraction (DPX); Liquid-Liquid Extraction with Vortexing and Centrifugation; as well as Standard Addition, Derivatization, and Eluate Concentration. Samples can be heated, cooled or agitated as needed. The MAESTRO PrepAhead functionality ensures Just-In-Time sample preparation followed directly by sample introduction to the LC or LC/MS as soon as the analysis system is ready for the next sample.

The complete system is controlled by the GERSTEL MAESTRO software, using the Agilent Technologies ChemStation Method and Sequence Table or using the MassHunter Sequence table.
