Beckman Coulter Genomics today announced a completely automated, high-capacity, target capture sequencing service that delivers quality sequencing data and streamlines sample preparation for targeted next generation sequencing.

Utilizing Agilent SureSelect Target Enrichment technology with the Beckman Coulter SPRIworks Fragment Library System for automated library construction and the Biomek* Laboratory Automation Workstation for liquid handling provides high quality, reproducible samples ready for sequencing. Sequencing is performed on the Illumina GAII and HiSeq 2000 platforms.

“By automating this pipeline and maximizing our target capture sequencing capacity, we’re able to offer our customers a high-throughput solution, with faster project turnaround times and reproducible sequencing data,” said William Donahue, PhD, manager of molecular biology for Beckman Coulter Genomics. “Our LIMS sample tracking also enables large numbers of samples to be processed at the same time, significantly reducing the risk of sample mix-up that exists in a manual process.”

The solution is well suited to projects with a focus on key genomic regions of interest and provides scalable, cost-efficient sequencing of relevant samples in both small and large quantities. For more information, please visit the company article page.
