Bioo Scientific has announced the release of high throughput automated methods for next generation sequencing library preparation on the Beckman Biomek® FX and Biomek® FXP Laboratory Automation Workstations, and the Perkin Elmer Sciclone liquid handling workstations. These protocols were designed to enable researchers to leverage the NEXTflex library prep kits on liquid handling platforms to automate the processing of a wide range of library preparation protocols.

Protocols currently available for the Beckman Biomek® FX and Biomek® FXP Laboratory Automation Workstations include the NEXTflex™ Rapid DNA-Seq Kit, and the NEXTflex™ Pre-Capture Combo Kit, compatible with the Roche NimbleGen SeqCap EZ Library Kit. The NEXTflex Rapid DNA-Seq Kit produces DNA-seq libraries for sequencing on Illumina platforms from as little as 1 ng of DNA, while the NEXTflex Pre-Capture Combo Kit is a complete library prep solution designed for multiplexed library preparation and barcode blocking upstream of Roche NimbleGen's SeqCap EZ Library target enrichment.

Protocols available for the Sciclone NGS, Sciclone NGSx and Sciclone G3 include the NEXTflex™ Rapid Directional RNA-Seq Kit and the NEXTflex Pre-Capture Combo Kit. Bioo Scientific’s NEXTflex Rapid Directional RNA-Seq Kit provides a fast and easy solution for generating stranded RNA libraries, utilizing a specially provided thermostable reverse transcriptase for better representation of cDNA populations.
