BioTek Instruments, Inc., showcases their newest microplate instrumentation technology at the 12th annual Drug Discovery & Development of Innovative Therapeutics World Congress, August 6-9, 2007 in Boston, Massachusetts. Several new products will be featured at BioTek's booth, #411.

The company will debut the patent-pending Synergy™ 4 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader with Hybrid Technology™; the only true multi-mode reader that combines filter-based and quadruple monochromator-based fluorescence detection technology in one instrument for endless flexibility in current as well as future microplate-based assays. Fluorescence Intensity, Fluorescence Polarization, Time-Resolved Fluorescence, Luminescence and UV-Visible Absorbance measurement techniques are also included.

New liquid dispensing technology includes the launch of the new MicroFlo™ Select, an all-in-one dispensing solution with unlimited choice in microplate and microtube style, dispense parameters, cassette settings, all in one compact benchtop unit. BioTek's NanoQuot™, Sub-microliter Dispenser; µFill™, Microplate Dispenser; and Precision™ XS, Microplate Sample Processor will also be presented during the exhibition.

The industry standard ELx405™ washers, popularly known for their washing efficiency and flexibility, will be featured, along with the recently released ELx50 FMW, designed specifically for dispensing and washing in filter bottom microplate applications.

Also at the meeting will be the Bio-Stack™ automation modules that can be interfaced to various microplate technologies from BioTek Instruments for increased speed, flexibility and ease of operation. Components are modular and easily reconfigured when experimental protocols change.
