Biotool AG have Announced the Introduction of the FlexiFuge

The FlexiFuge mini centrifuge is a reasonably priced benchtop centrifuge that is ideal for quick spin downs from the walls of tubes, microfiltration of HPLC samples, and cell separations. It offers the unique selection of 3 operating modes in the class of table top Microcentrifuges! FlexiFuge can be operated in continuous mode, pulsed for a short burst of rapid centrifugation, or timed to spin from 1-15 minutes. Regardless of settings the rotor stops once the lid release button is pushed.

The quiet motor offers two speeds (2’000 or 5’000g / 6,000 or 9,200 rpm) depending on application. The FlexiFuge stands stable on silicone feet and its small dimensions make it ideal for the use in safety cabinets. (Dimensions with closed lid 240x187x139 mm).

FlexiFuge comes complete with an 8-place fixed angle rotor for 1.5ml tubes, a rotor for 0.2ml PCR tube strips, adapters for 0.5ml tubes and a 4-place rotor to spin the unique Argos 5ml snap-cap centrifuge tubes, supplied by BioTool. The FlexiFuge is currently the only Microcentrifuge on the market that accommodates 5ml Microtubes.

Josef Macaluso, Director of BioTool AG, highlighted the ring of LED lights that illuminate when the unit is active and is viewed through the transparent lid. “The colour can be changed (red, green, blue) and offers an additional safety aspect.
