Blue-Ray Biotech Corporation, a professional life science laboratory instrument manufacturer, has announced the upgrade of its award-winning gradient PCR thermal cycler, the TurboCycler 2. Fitted with flexible ramp rate control and adjustable lid temperature designs, the new version of TurboCycler 2 is more suitable than ever for applications such as CRISPR assays and NGS pre-treatments.

The ramp rate of a thermal cycler shows the change in temperature from one PCR step to another over time. Although for most applications higher ramp rates are desirable, for some applications such as the CRISPR, a lower ramp rate is needed. TurboCycler 2 now provides flexible ramp rate control ranging from 0.1 - 5.5 °C/sec to meet the needs of CRISPR-related assays.

To further expand the breadth of its application, TurboCycler 2 now comes with a fully-adjustable lid temperature feature. Users can set the lid temperature between 35 and 120 °C for virtually any type of experiments, including NGS pre-treatment.

With the recognition of Taiwan Excellence Award and numerous academic paper citations, TurboCycler 2 has earned a good reputation for its designs and features.
