Carolina Liquid Chemistries Debuts CLC6410 Chemistry Analyzer at AACC 2014
3 Aug 2014Cost-effective, high volume, modular clinical chemistry analyzer on display at AACC 2014
Shortly before the AACC Annual Meeting 2014, Carolina Liquid Chemistries Corp. announced that it had received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its new CLC6410™ chemistry analyzer. The CLC6410™ is a modular chemistry analyzer capable of meeting the high volume testing needs of large hospitals and clinical reference laboratories.
“There are very few analyzers out there that can do this kind of volume,” says Phil Shugart, president of Carolina Liquid Chemistries. “The flexibility and economics of the CLC6410™ make it a very attractive choice for large hospitals and clinical reference laboratories.”
The CLC6410™ is modular, allowing laboratories to expand its throughput as their needs grow. The throughput of a single module is up to1600 tests/hour, while four modules can be joined to achieve 6400 tests/hour. The new analyzer also features other technological advances that save water and energy while automating many quality control procedures.
The company debuted the new analyzer at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, held in Chicago last week.
