CellReporter: High Throughput, Fail-Early Screening Platform

17 Mar 2008

The CellReporter from Genetix is a high-throughput, multiplexed fluorescent imager that rapidly assesses cell health.

CellReporter combines rapid plate imaging with microscope-quality resolution and importantly, ease-of-use, making the platform amenable to everyone in the lab.

CellReporter facilitates a fail-early approach to screening that rapidly identifies compounds with adverse biological effects. This is achieved by a rapid, proprietary auto-focussing method that enables on-the-fly imaging and concomitant image analysis. The platform combines true brightfield imaging with up to 6 fluorescent wavelengths to image microwell plates at 4, 10 and 20X magnification. An entire 384-well plate can be imaged at 2 fluorescent wavelengths, including autofocus, in under 10 minutes.

The early elimination of detrimental compounds means that only the compounds with desired biological activity are taken forward through the drug discovery process. CellReporter occupies the niche upstream of high-content, expensive and technically-demanding systems and streamlines your workflow.

In synergy with CellReporter, Genetix continues to develop the optimized cell-based assay range, the Astral Assays. Current assays include the Astral Viability and Cytotoxicity Assays.
