chemagen AG, Germany, introduces the chemagic 8, a customized solution for the entire laboratory workflow process. This particular lab in a box facilitates primary sample handling via Nucleic Acid isolation to diagnostics and storage with minimized hands on time in a fully automated way – that´s the chemagic AID.

The chemagic 8 combines 8 different features in an outstanding manner. The entire laboratory workflow processes such as primary sample handling via Nucleic Acid isolation to diagnostics and storage are fully automated. Due to minimized hands on time cross contaminations are almost impossible.

Its modular setup makes the chemagic 8 extraordinary flexible. Extensions, integrations and updates can be easily facilitated due to 8 axes that allow 360° movements of this prototype. In-process sample loading enables operating day and night at seven days/week. Once the primary probe is placed in, the chemagic AID takes over all subsequent duties.

The 8 main features at a glance:

1. Automated
• From primary sample via NA preparation to diagnostics and storage

2. Modular
• Extensions, integrations and updates can be easily facilitated

3. Reliable
• Approved technologies are included such as the chemagic Magnetic Separation

Module I
• Reproducible results

4. Save
• No cross contamination
• Barcode reading prevent sample mix-up

5. Fast
• Variable speed
• Time consuming processes are done automatically

6. Efficient
• Cost effective

7. Flexible
• 8 axes allow 360° movement

8. 24/7
• Operates day and night (24 h and 7 days/week)
• In-process sample loading possible
• Minimized hands on time
• Maximum throughput

These particular 8 features are visualized in an animated film that can be ordered or downloaded at the company article webpage.

The chemagic 8 was developed as customized solution in collaboration with ABBIS bio process automation. Thus this particular prototype is currently under onstruction. More or other features can be realized due to the requirements of the laboratory workflow.
