Coca-Cola® relies on Metrohm titration at their technical service centre in Anderlecht, Belgium, to determine the pH value and citric acid content of their beverage products. Coca-Cola® benefits from the high degree of automation of their Metrohm solution providing high sample throughput and highly consistent and reproducible results.

The fully automated titration system actually consists of two 814 USB Sample Processors with two external titration vessels and one 808 Titrando with two measurement inputs, an 805 Dosimat, two 772 Pump Units, two 800 Dosinos with Dosing Units, an 802 Stirrer (propeller stirrer) and an 804 Ti Stand.
Both set-ups are equipped with sample racks that can handle up to 127 vials with a volume of 11 mL sample each. The sample transfer is carried out by a Dosino-controlled pipetting tube with a specially-designed needle that can handle sample containing pulp.

The titration system is controlled completely by Metrohm’s proven titration software tiamo™. With the installed tiamo™ multi version, the results of different workplaces can be checked from any office desk. tiamo™ is fully compliant with the demands of FDA Regulation 21 CFR Part 11.
