Colder Products Company Expands SaniQuik™ Series

24 May 2006

Colder Products Company has expanded its popular line of SaniQuik™ Connections.

The versatile connection is now offered in two new sanitary termination sizes to provide added flexibility for processors that need to link disposables and existing stainless steel equipment. Now ¼" and ³/8" tubing systems utilizing Colder’s MPC couplings can be easily connected to 1 ½" sanitary terminations, and ½" tubing systems with MPX couplings can be connected to ¾" sanitary terminations.

“The extension of Colder’s SaniQuik series reinforces our commitment to making the transition from stainless to disposable systems as seamless as possible,” says John Boehm, business unit manager for bioprocessing markets at Colder. “By adding new termination sizes, we have made it easier for processors to cost-effectively adapt their single-use bag systems, tube sets, and transfer lines to existing hard-plumbed equipment.”

Ideal for use in feeding, cell harvesting, and sampling applications, the integral sanitary terminations attach to hard-plumbed systems via the use of tri-clover clamps. SaniQuik reduces sanitary gasket replacement and allows metal sanitary fittings to be replaced by plastic disposable couplings. The result is a more economical media transfer solution.

Offered in 316 stainless, SaniQuik connections are compatible with Colder’s MPC and MPX Series couplings, which are available in polysulfone and polycarbonate materials. SaniQuik’s silicone, platinum-cured, USP Class VI seals meet industry material compatibility requirements. Operating temperatures range from -40° F to 300° F and pressure from vacuum to 60 psi at 4.14 bar.
