Colder Products Company Showcases Cost-Effective, Innovative Coupling and Chemical Management Solutions at Achema 2006
26 Mar 2006Colder Products Company, a world leader in the design and manufacture of quick disconnect couplings, will highlight cost-effective connection solutions that make fluid transfer processes simpler, safer and smarter at Achema 2006, Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, May 15th-19th.
Among the innovations on display at booth L35, hall 9 will be new compact, non-spill connections that are used for a variety of industrial fluid-system applications and a time-saving flat bottom port for analytical instrumentation systems. Colder also will demonstrate recent developments with its DrumQuik® line of dip-tube based chemical extraction systems for rigid chemical transport containers (bottles, drums, and IBCs).
A sneak preview of the new NS2 Series, the latest addition to Colder’s line of non-spill couplings, will be made at the show. Designed for applications where space is limited, the new couplings provide excellent flow characteristics and offer an economical alternative to costly metal non-spill couplings.
“NS2 responds to increasing demand for smaller, safer, more cost-effective industrial couplings,” says Andy Hass, business unit manager for industrial markets, Colder. “Featuring a double-sided non-spill shutoff valve, these virtually leak-free couplings are ideal for applications such as analytical instrumentation and chemical handling.”
Colder’s DrumQuik line of reliable, safe fluid handling products helps users to achieve a closed system for the spill- and fume-free extraction of aggressive chemicals. The latest version to the line adds the benefit of disposability and can include smart weight and temperature sensing capabilities.
“DrumQuik products represent a safe, cost-effective and easy-to-use solution that addresses the need to minimize potential chemical contact for technicians and the environment,” says Tom Braun, business unit manager for chemical and packaging markets, Colder.
Also featured at the booth will be a 1/4-28 flat bottom port for Colder’s popular PMC12 Series couplings. This port, which is compatible with standard HPLC type fittings, saves the user time by eliminating the need to thread and re-thread a separate fitting every time the line is disconnected. The PMC12 is well suited for a variety of analytical instrumentation applications including mass spectrometry, flow cytometry and gas chromatography.
Attendees to Achema will have the opportunity to discuss these innovations and potential applications with Colder’s experts on-site.
