Sartorius Mechatronics Corporation has optimized their Professional Meters, equipping each of four analytical PP meter models with stable measuring results, secure data management and time-savings for optimum user convenience and flexibility.

The basic PP-15 meter measures pH and mV, ORP (redox) and temperature while the PP-20 model also uses a dual-channel to include simultaneous measurement of conductivity, salinity, NaCl content or total dissolved solids (TDS) during pH/mV measurements. The PP-25 model incorporates the features of the PP-15, but adds a dual-channel to allow for direct and incremental ion selective analysis along with the basic measurements; and for the utmost flexibility, the PP-50 meter uses three channels to combine the features of all the other meters in one compact footprint.

To ensure accurate pH and conductivity measurements on even the most sophisticated samples, up to five calibration points can be stored in memory and up to seven calibration points can be stored for ion-selective analysis.

With menu-driven user interfaces and interactive online help, each meter is easily controlled, delivering a high degree of accuracy with each use. Ease of operation is also achieved through clear instructions displayed on a large backlit display and optional help prompts on every menu level. Rapid results and data transfer enable enhanced run-in behavior monitoring of the sensors thanks to a state-of-the-art Freescale Semiconductor Coldfire® microprocessor.

All Sartorius Professional Meters automatically recognize PT-1000, NTC 10 kO and NTC 30 kO sensors to prevent temperature compensation errors resulting from the use of incorrect temperature sensors. In addition, the new PP Professional Meters can recognize seven different sets and a total of 33 different buffer solutions. Individual buffer set combinations can also be stored in the meter.

Flexible parameters, including time delay prior to calibration data storage and stability criteria, allow each PP meter to adapt to even unusual measuring conditions or samples for increased repeatability of individual measurements.
