Corning Introduces New Line of Reusable Plastic Laboratory Products

Corning Incorporated today announced a new line of reusable plastic liquid-handling products and volumetric ware. Corning® Reusable Plastic Ware products complement the existing line of PYREX® glassware, providing customers with a broader portfolio of safe, cost-effective alternatives for their laboratories.

“Across applications and geographies, established standard operating procedures and regulations require researchers to use specified materials for certain applications,” said Jim Babashak, senior product manager, Corning Life Sciences. “With the addition of our new reusable plastic beakers, graduated cylinders, and volumetric flasks, we are now able to offer our customers a product that meets their procedural requirements, whether that be plastic, glass, or a combination of both.”

The new Corning Reusable Plastic Ware products include:

• Beakers available in polypropylene (PP) and perfluoroalkoxy-copolymer (PFA)
• Beakers with handles in PP
• Graduated cylinders available in PP
• Volumetric flasks in PP, PFA, and polymethylpentene (PMP)
