Corning to Showcase Automation Portfolio at SLAS2013

31 Dec 2012

Corning® and Axygen® brand microplates and consumables are compatible with a wide range of laboratory instrumentation for Cell Culture, Drug Screening and storage, Genomics and molecular biology workflows. Products include robotic tips, HTS assay and storage microplates, Corning® cellgro® media and reagents, barcoded storage tubes, filter plates, PCR and sealing products, DNA/RNA isolation kits, and several xeno-free surfaces.

Visit Corning (Booth #521) at SLAS2013 to learn about:

New Axygen® Automation Tips
Axygen now offers a full range of tips to accommodate all applications. They are compatible with Hamilton® Microlab® STARline and Nimbus® workstations, as well as with Agilent® Velocity 11®.

IMAG™-96P Magnetic Beads Separation Device
Designed to simplify the manual processing of magnetic bead-based separation applications, IMAG™
Handheld Magnetic Separation Devices transform low throughput to high throughput separation
by a flip of a tube or microplate.

1536 Well Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC) Microplates
The 1536-Well Low Dead Volume (LDV) plate improves assay results through increased signal to noise ratios. The exceptional flatness of this microplate reduces assay noise by providing a consistent measurement position for detection instrumentation using photomultiplier tubes or CCD devices. This microplate is constructed of Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC) which provides optical clarity and improved signal levels for luminescence and fluorescence based assays.

Corning® Epic® BT System
The Corning® Epic® System is a high-throughput label-free screening platform based on optical biosensor technology. The system performs both biochemical and cell-based drug discovery applications and offers drug developers the ability to evaluate promising new drug targets. It also allows for the observation of direct biological interactions not previously detectable in high-throughput applications. Learn about label-free detection in a benchtop system.

Glass Bottom High Content Microplates
Learn about high optical quality glass bottom, black microplates that are ideal for performing high-content cell-based assays using imaging systems.

A poster entitled “Development of Screening Assays for Two Stem Cell Lineages Using Corning® Epic® Label-free Technology” will be displayed on Tuesday January 15th from 1.00-3.00pm. Visit the poster session to learn more.
