11 May 2015Discover how to approach the detection microRNAs in challenging samples in this free, interactive SelectScience webinar on entitled Quantitative MicroRNA Expression Analysis in Tissues and Body Fluids: Whole Genome Profiling Using Small RNA Sequencing, Followed by qPCR Based Validation. You won't want to miss this exciting presentation - register now!
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules that play a key role in gene expression regulation. They have critical functions in various biological processes and their involvement in disease biology is well documented. The accurate and reliable detection of microRNAs in challenging samples, such as formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue samples and body fluids including serum, plasma, urine and others, is of interest for the identification of new biomarkers for cancer and other diseases.
Several measurement platforms have been developed to determine relative miRNA abundance in biological samples using different technologies, such as small RNA sequencing, reverse transcription-quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and hybridization.
During this webinar, Dr. Ariane De Ganck, Product Manager, Transcriptome Services at Biogazelle, will discuss:
- The combined approach of whole genome microRNA profiling using small RNA sequencing and targeted microRNA validation.
- The workflow, starting from sample preparation to microRNA measurement, data processing and interpretation.
- Case studies for microRNA expression analysis in challenging samples, including FFPE tissue and body fluids.
- How the QIAGEN miScript PCR system can be used for targeted microRNA measurement.
The Q&A session of the webinar will also provide the opportunity for you to ask Dr. De Ganck any questions you have about the techniques and case studies discussed.
