Edwards to Present Award Winning Vacuum Equipment at Pittcon 2013
13 Feb 2013Edwards Group Limited, a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems and a leading provider of related value-added services, will showcase a range of high performance vacuum equipment for scientific processes at Pittcon, from March 17 - 21 2013, at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre, PA, USA.
Pittcon is one of the leading annual conferences and expositions for laboratory instrumentation, equipment and services across a broad range of applications. For the first time ever Edwards is making available a dedicated team of technology experts and inviting customers to bring their current vacuum application challenges to the booth for discussion. As a leader in vacuum technology, Edwards’ “Challenge us” campaign will offer customers the chance for an open discussion with experts in scientific vacuum applications.
On display will be Edwards’ new nXDS dry scroll pump. Launched in 2012 with new design features, it has taken scroll pumps to a whole new level of performance. The pump delivers exceptional pumping speeds and ultimate pressures with low acoustic noise levels. The intelligent drive electronics allows reduced power consumption, making it an ideal ‘fit and forget’ pump for the laboratory. The nXDS is fully serviceable in the field, resulting in low downtime and an overall low cost of ownership. With improved tip-seal and bearing life, users will benefit from virtually zero maintenance.
Edwards’ award winning nEXT turbomolecular pump, designed to provide exceptional high vacuum performance in a compact size, is sure to cause some excitement on the booth after winning the 2012 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Edwards’ innovative vacuum technology is demonstrated in the design of the nEXT, which provides reliable performance and easy user serviceability. The modular design of the nEXT allows for rapid customization of the pump to meet specific customer requirements with minimal cost impact.
Also on show will be the T-station 75 turbopumping cart. The compact, entry level T-station 75 is the smallest in Edwards’ range of pumping stations and can pump a chamber to the required vacuum up to twice as fast as competitive products, thanks to higher capacity backing pumps. It provides reliable high performance and is an excellent ‘plug and play’ solution for those wanting to achieve high vacuum quickly and simply.
