By launch of the new DualChip human DNA damage and repair, Eppendorf veers toward "Making microarrays an every day tool – just like PCR is today".

The Frost and Sullivan innovation award winning technology of the Eppendorf DualChip microarray series combines ease of use with high quality results of gene expression analyses.

The portfolio of expression profiling microarrays is complemented by the DualChip human DNA damage and repair kit. By simplifying focused analysis of cellular pathways involved in detection and repair of DNA, the product enables tracking of therapeutic effects and side effects on human genetic material, e.g. in cancer chemotherapy or upon irradiation of tumors. Furthermore, these new microarrays provide researchers valuable insight into diseases related to deficiencies in cellular DNA recognition and repair mechanisms as e.g. in Xeroderma pigmentosum.

The underlying expertise in choice of markergenes for the topic focused DualChip microarrays constitutes the fundament for the Eppendorf multi parameter analyses platform of physiological processes.

The innovative new member of the DualChip family, the DualChip human DNA damage and repair will be presented for the first time at the Analytica 2006 - 20th International Trade Fair and Analytica Conference in Munich (25-28th April 2006).
