Eppendorf, a world-renowned manufacturer and supplier of life science products, has introduced a new generation of deepwell plates: Eppendorf Plate® Deepwell 96 and 384.

Optimized well geometry (RecoverMax® design) with rounded-corner and conical bottom enables high-speed pipetting by best recovery rates, as well excellent mixing and sample resuspension. These features lead to the acceleration of manual and automatic work processes. By the rounded corners cross contamination is reduced and high sample recovery rate is eased.

Colored borders feature alphanumeric coding for easy well tracking (OptiTrack® matrix). Each kind of plate is available in five colored borders (blue, green, red, yellow, white). By a special production process these colores are as chemical-resistant as the non-colored parts of the plates.

The high rigidity and dimensional stability of these deepwell-plates enables centrifugation at high g-forces without deformation of the plates (g-Safe®). Higher centrifugation speeds up sample treatment and reduces working time. Even cell disruption processes with beads and steel balls are also possible. Additionally the higher stiffness and perfectly planar plate-surface leads to superior sealing results even by multiple sealing.

Eppendorf Plates Deepwell fulfil SBS (Society of Biomolecular Screening) standards for complete compatibility with all standard pipetting robots. Optional bar-coded plates are available. They are made of high-purity polypropylene, are highly chemical resistant, allow easy stacking and easy sealing. The Eppendorf Plates Deepwell are available in four quality formats: Standard, Sterile, DNA LoBind (PCR clean) and Protein LoBind (PCR clean). Lot-specific certificates are online-available.
