EXeTek Announces a New Automated Molecular Biology and Protein Expression System

EXeTek Limited launched its new automated system for molecular biology and protein expression (CyMek™) at last week's ELRIG Drug Discovery 2010 exhibition held in Coventry, UK. CyMek™ provides a ready-to-run, easy-to-use and flexible automation solution for undertaking large numbers of molecular biology and protein expression experiments.

Using familiar Windows based interfaces the CyMek™ system software allows users to quickly specify the multiple combinations required for large scale molecular biology whilst retaining the facility to vary process parameters. Automatic calculation of reagent and labware requirements together with graphical loading screens enable multiple laboratory staff to quickly become proficient users with minimum training.

CyMek™ systems are supplied in one of six variants with proven protocols that scale automatically to meet the needs of a wide variety of laboratories from academic institutions through biotechnology companies and large pharmaceutical organisations.
