Laboratory-sized vacuum processes such as drying, distillation and sample preparation each require their own respective performance characteristics regarding pumping speed, ultimate vacuum and continuous parameter adaptation. VACUUBRAND’s new chemistry pumping unit PC 3001 VARIO meets all these demands in an ‘all in one’ solution.

The unit builds on proven reliability of its predecessor PC 2001 due to the strong heart, the chemistry diaphragm pump MD 1C, combined with innovative user friendly control technology – the new vacuum controller CVC 3000. It has an more intuitive user control interface due to a new simple to use jog wheel and large clear text display.

Bidirectional data communication via serial interface RS 232C comes as standard. The PC 3001 VARIO provides fully automatic process control without any user programming, resulting in very fine and very precise vacuum control in both automatic and manual operation. A new feature is an built-in aeration valve. A further outstanding characteristic of the PC 3001 VARIO is the ultimate vacuum of 2 mbar for working with high boiling point solvents. Even with gas ballast for cleaning the pump from moisture it still achieves 4 mbar. Optimal solvent recovery next to 100 % is also standard. The unique ability to operate totally independently and optimally with any make of rotary evaporator firmly establishes the PC 3001 as the number one product of vacuum generating systems for laboratory applications.
