EPSON Robots have announced the release of their LS-3 Robot to the SCARA line up. The EPSON LS-3 SCARA robots have been created with reduced cost in mind. A wide variety of low cost technologies including the new RC90 controller are used with the LS-3 robots, however, the EPSON LS-3 robots still offer the same performance and reliability. Everything from high performance motion control with the PowerDrive Technology to integrated options such as Vision Guide, .Net connectivity, DeviceNet, Profibus, and more is available with the LS-3 robots. With outstanding flexibility, EPSON LS-3 robots were made for users that need Epson quality at a reduced price.

The EPSON LS-3 cycle times are down to 0.46 seconds which provides plenty of speed for most applications. The arm length is 400mm (J1+J2) which allows an LS-3 to handle pallet sizes up to 239.5 x 239.5mm in size. Clean room models are also available (ISO4) for medical, semiconductor, and other particle sensitive applications.

EPSON LS-3 SCARA Robots are ideally suited for the Lab Automation, Medical, Consumer, Food, Automotive, Electronics, PC Peripheral, Semiconductor, Plastics, Appliance and Aerospace industries. They can be used for a wide variety of applications ranging from simple pick and place to assembly of products such as chain saws, toothbrushes, and more.
