Faster one-step RT-PCR on any real-time cycler

QuantiFast™ Probe RT-PCR Kits deliver significantly faster results in real-time one-step RT-PCR with sequence-specific probes, such as TaqMan® probes. The kits are a new addition to the range of QuantiFast Kits, which provide fast cycling on any real-time cycler. With time savings of up to 60% on existing cyclers, there is no need for costly hardware upgrades.

A specially developed fast RT-PCR buffer containing the patent-pending additive Q-Bond greatly reduces denaturation, annealing, and extension times. The buffer also contains HotStarTaq®Plus DNA Polymerase, which requires only 5 minutes at 95ºC for activation. The optimized QuantiFast RT Mix enables cDNA synthesis in just 10 minutes.

Accurate quantification of even low copy numbers is achieved with the kits. A balanced combination of KCl and NH4Cl in the fast RT-PCR buffer promotes specific primer annealing, enabling high PCR specificity and sensitivity. In addition, HotStarTaq Plus DNA Polymerase provides a stringent hot start, preventing the formation of nonspecific products.

QuantiFast Probe RT-PCR Kits are ready-to-use master mixes that eliminate the need for PCR optimization. Simply follow the handbook protocol to get fast and reliable results. The kits are compatible with cyclers that use ROX dye for fluorescence normalization (no optimization of ROX concentration is necessary) and with cyclers that do not.
