Join SelectScience for a fascinating webinar on Thursday February 26 entitled ‘Light Sheet Imaging for Fast 3D Live Cell and Tissue Imaging’.

In recent years, light sheet microscopy has emerged as the biological imaging modality of choice to achieve high performance in imaging speed, resolution, and penetration depth – all with minimal photo-induced damage.

In this webinar, Dr Thomas Planchon, of the Biophotonic Imaging Laboratory at Delaware State University, will discuss the principles of light sheet microscopy and its main advantages for imaging live specimens. Examples of dynamic multicolor imaging of cultured cells and case studies demonstrating the fast imaging of mitosis will also be presented.

Our second speaker, Dr Thai V. Truong, of the Translational Imaging Center at the University of Southern California, will highlight the applications of this unique imaging platform to study dynamic biological processes. Dr Truong will present a case study examining the dorsal-ventral patterning of fly embryos, and an investigation of the dynamic three-dimensional structure of a beating embryonic zebrafish heart, using light sheet imaging.

The Q&A session during the webinar will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have for Dr Planchon and Dr Truong on their use of light sheet technology.

The webinar will take place at 08:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 GMT / 17:00 CET, February 26, 2015. Register today for your free place.
