30 Sept 2012

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the debut of a new seminar on Analytical Solutions for Nutraceutical Analysis. The nutraceutical market, which consists of dietary supplements, botanicals, functional foods and beverages, is a fast growing market.

The free, day-long seminar will take place on October 8th 2012 in Los Angeles, California; October 10th 2012 in Vancouver, Canada; and October 12th 2012 in Toronto, Canada. The sessions will discuss chromatography and elemental analysis techniques to optimize nutraceutical processes, focusing on dietary supplements, vitamins, functional foods and botanical extracts.

Techniques and methods will include accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), capillary ion chromatography (IC), inductively coupled plasma optical emission (ICP-OES) and ICP mass spectrometry, high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), Ultra HPLC (UHPLC), liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC/MS), chromatography data systems software (CDS) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
