In this free webinar, Daniel Wetterskog, Senior Scientific Officer, Institute of Cancer Research, UK, will give an informative presentation on the application of digital PCR in studying and managing prostate cancer. Registration for the online event is now open.

He will describe how the Treatment Resistance Team at the Institute of Cancer Research has been using plasma to interrogate resistance in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and develop biomarkers for selecting treatment.

Dr Wetterskog will go on to explain how the team used targeted next-generation sequencing and droplet digital PCR on cfDNA from sequential plasma samples. The results of these studies showed a strong association between plasma AR aberrations and resistance to abiraterone in heavily-pre-treated CRPC patients was also seen, supporting the clinical utility of cfDNA studies in metastatic prostate cancer.

The webinar will cover;

  • Liquid biopsy studies in castration-resistant prostate cancer
  • Droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) technology and methodologies
  • Utilizing ddPCR in the management of castration-resistant prostate cancer

There will also be a question and answer session with Dr Wetterskog at the end of the webinar and attendees will be invited to contribute questions.

Register now for the live event on February 8, 2017 at 16:00 GMT/08:00 PST/11:00 PST/17:00 CET
