Free Webinar – High Throughput Screening of Affimer Proteins for Use as Affinity Ligands Using a Label-Free Technology
Discover how the use of a label-free technology allows for high-throughput screening of affimer specificity, affinity and stability
1 Feb 2018Affimer proteins are next-generation antibody alternatives which demonstrate greater stability in biological conditions, enable faster in-house production and have the same, or often more effective, binding properties. Furthermore, affimer proteins avoid the challenges associated with producing sequential antibody batches with identical properties. Altogether, this makes them a powerful research tool for small- and large-scale assays in drug discovery or clinical diagnostic applications, as well as potentially new protein scaffolds for delivering therapeutic agents.
XeIPIeX is a multiplex molecular analysis tool that uses surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) to follow label-free biomolecular interactions in real time. XeIPIeX can be used to assess affimer binding in real time, and to screen for affimer proteins for use across a wide spectrum of applications, including pull-down protein purification assays and as novel chromatography resins.
Join us for this free webinar, in which Dr. Geoff Platt, of Avacta Life Sciences, and Dr. Chiraz Frydman, of Horiba Scientific, will discuss the benefits and methodologies of using affimer proteins in your lab. Registration for this live event on Wednesday, February 14, is now open.
