20 Sept 2007

GE Healthcare announced today that it has received the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award in recognition of its exceptional success with its IN Cell Analyzer range of products in the High Content Screening Market. These advanced and easy-to-use automated microscope systems enhance the productivity of cell-based research by combining system flexibility with excellent image and data quality.

“GE Healthcare received the highest scores for ‘Innovation Performance’, attributed to its IN Cell Analyzer systems”, said Jonathan Witonsky, Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “We also recognised the Company’s excellence in best practices to identify researchers’ high content screening needs, in the development of new instrumentation, software, reagents and strategic technology enhancements in order to bring innovative products to its customers quickly.

One of the products in the IN Cell Analyser range is the IN Cell Investigator, a comprehensive analysis software solution that complements the IN Cell Analyzer instruments. It combines pre-developed application-specific modules suitable for novice use with the Developer toolbox which enables customers to write their own analysis routines for unique assays. GE Healthcare has also developed Bio InSite, a secure technical support system providing a digital connection between GE Healthcare professionals and customer systems for knowledge sharing and simplified troubleshooting.

“We are delighted to receive this years’ innovation award from Frost & Sullivan. As the HCA field continues to grow, this award demonstrates the unique benefits provided by the IN Cell Analyzer systems and tools.” said Ger Brophy, General Manager of Advanced Systems in the Life Sciences business unit of GE Healthcare. “The IN Cell Analyzer enables more complex analysis on a much larger scale, while providing a flexible future-proof system to meet individual research laboratory needs. We will continue to be customer-focused in our development and supply of HCA tools and services to enable scientists to be more productive in their daily work”.
