GE Healthcare Scoops Coveted Scientists’ Choice Drug Discovery Award at ELRIG Meeting
8 Sept 2011SelectScience is pleased to announce the winner of the Scientists’ Choice Award for the Drug Discovery Product of the Year - The IN Cell Analyzer 6000 by GE Healthcare. Announced at ELRIG Drug Discovery in Manchester, this celebrates the fourth year SelectScience has presented these prestigious awards.
The awards, voted for by SelectScience Drug Discovery members worldwide, are presented for cutting-edge and innovative technologies within the Drug Discovery arena. Products which a have made a significant difference within the industry over the past year were nominated and shortlisted. The Scientists’ Choice Awards are the laboratory industry’s first awards to provide the online scientific community with a channel to celebrate new technologies. The awards were based on the results of an independent poll, where more than 12,000 scientists from the SelectScience online community were invited to nominate and vote for their favourite new drug discovery product.
The GE Healthcare IN Cell Analyzer is a high performance, laser-based, confocal, high-content analysis system for the most demanding high-content assays and screens. Featuring a next-generation scientific-grade CMOS camera and a proprietary fully adjustable aperture, the optical system allows you to optimize for speed and image quality extending the reach of HCA into applications more typically associated with low-throughput confocal microscopy including 3D imaging, co-localization studies, and assays with low signal.
