This year, SelectScience® proudly marks 20 years at the very forefront of scientific communication. From our base in Bath, UK, we publish cutting-edge science and technology news and trusted peer-to-peer information to a growing global audience of around 2 million scientists – and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our members for being part of the SelectScience community. It’s all of you who make us what we are today.
You don’t need us to tell you all about the benefits of being a SelectScience member, but we can say with certainty that in this anniversary year, you can look forward to even more exciting new SelectScience projects – including a brand new website designed to make it even easier for you to find exactly what you’re looking for.
To kick the year off in style, the team has used a state-of-the-art visual storytelling platform to create a special Future of Science anniversary feature, looking ahead to how science will change our lives dramatically over the next 20 years and featuring the predictions of world-leading scientists.

In 1999, we became the first science publisher to publish product reviews and star ratings. In 2007, we set up the annual Scientists’ Choice Awards which now sees tens of thousands of scientists nominate and vote for their favorite scientific instruments and services. Ten years later, in June 2017, we launched the Seals of Quality program. Seals of Quality recognize scientific products that have consistently received the highest customer review ratings and are designed to enable scientists to see at a glance the instruments and services their peers love the most.
