AMETEK GmbH will be showing an impressive range of high performance materials testing equipment from Lloyd Instruments at the Control exhibition in Sinsheim. This will include a twin column LR10KPlus instrument, three single column LFPlus instruments and a Davenport MFI-10 melt flow indexer for fully automatic measurement of the melt flow rate of a polymer. The entire Plus range of materials testers now feature a new stiffness compensation facility, which improves measurement accuracy in compression applications where the system deformation is a significant proportion of the total measurement.

Also on show will be the recently launched versatile EXPlus extensometer for the accurate extension measurement of materials such as semi-rigid plastics, elastomers and rubbers. Available in two travel lengths, 250 mm and 800 mm, the EXPlus extensometers can be fitted to any of the company’s EZ and Plus series of materials testing machines for testing up to 150 kN.

The LFPlus and LR10KPlus machines offer versatile materials testing capabilities for tensile, compression, flexural and friction testing applications at forces up to 1 kN, and 10 kN respectively. They have been chosen for display from the Plus range which now features 9 instruments with capacities from 1kN to 150kN following the recent addition of the LR100KPlus and LR150KPlus machines.

All of the instruments on show can be operated under computer control with the company’s NEXYGEN™ MT control and analysis software. NEXYGEN software immediately recognises the ‘plug and play’ extensometer and in addition features a vast library of international standard tests for many different applications.
