High-throughput Protein-DNA Affinity Measurements Using Fluorescence Anisotropy

6 Mar 2009

The tumour suppressor protein p53 is a transcription factor that plays a key role in response to carcinogenic stress and prevention of tumor development. Using fluorescence anisotropy titrations, the effect of modified nucleotides on the recognition of DNA by p53 were studied.

The PHERAstar from BMG LABTECH, interfaced with a liquid handling instrument, provides a powerful multiplexing platform for high throughput determination of binding affinities using fluorescence anisotropy.
