A new Partnership Between Bios International and Labtronics Inc. provides a key new resource in the measurement of gas flow with the development of Bios Optimizer Collect light.

This new flexible software solution collects data directly from Bios International instruments, passes out the data that their customers need from the data stream, and sends the results directly into common application programs, such as Excel®.

According to Ed Morrell, Engineering Manager at Bios International, “With Bios Optimizer Collect light, we are now able to provide a solution that helps our customers to automate their data capture and ensure the accuracy of their results. Using Optimizer Collect light, customers can easily capture calibration data, eliminate transcription errors and improve the overall quality of their results.”

Initially, Bios International had purchased Collect 6.1 for their own internal use, but they quickly realized that Collect 6.1 was a powerful tool that would greatly benefit their customers. This led to the partnership with Labtronics to introduce Bios Optimizer Collect light.

“Collect’s versatility makes it easy to create OEM versions of the software for companies with instruments that have RS232 or TCP/IP communication ports.” says Mike DeWitte, Labtronics’ VP of Sales and Marketing. “Within a week Bios International had a new software program to supply to their customers, options to upgrade the software for additional sales opportunities, and even an on-line software activation system that emails a software activation key directly to their customers.”
