Labcold’s NEW Enviro-Friendly ULT Freezer

Labcold, the largest UK based manufacturer of medical and scientific refrigeration has added a new range of Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) freezers to complement its existing range. These freezers all utilize Vacuum Insulated Preservation (VIP) technology - saving space and energy due to their superior insulation properties.

As a principal supplier to world leading research facilities requiring -80OC storage for over 30 years, Labcold completely understands the need to supply a freezer that will reliably keep samples secure at a constant, verifiable temperature. This is why the new ULT range incorporates a number of unique safety features, including ambient temperature alarms. In addition, the use of vacuum insulation preservation technology means these freezers require less room, yet provide considerably more storage capacity than traditionally constructed models making them ideal for laboratories where space is at a premium.

However, it is not just the laboratory footprint that Labcold knows is of concern. Ergonomic and ecological issues are also solved by this new range. Everything is designed for easy operator use, from seals designed for minimal icing to the easy-open integral lockable handle and eye level temperature display. In addition, all components such as the compressor and fan are designed for minimal noise and energy use, making this new ULT range one of the first to take seriously the need to reduce carbon footprint and noise pollution.
