Surface Plasmon Resonance has long proved to be an invaluable tool for scientists involved in characterizing biomolecular interactions such as antibody selection and screening, drug discovery, ligand fishing, binding specificity and gene regulation. However, access to this technology has traditionally been limited due to the high cost of instrumentation, leaving researchers dependent on core facilities.

The SensiQ® range from ICx Technologies brings affordable SPR to the field of biomolecular interaction analysis for the first time. The range includes three models, the manual SensiQ® Discovery, manual injection instrument, the dual channel, semi-automated SensiQ® and the SensiQ® Pioneer fully automated instrument for high throughput users.

“We are delighted to be working with nomadics on this exciting opportunity to bring SPR into research labs.” says Dr Brian Page, Managing Director of Labtech International. “Although the high specification and performance of these instruments makes them well suited for pharma applications, for which they have been designed, SensiQ® affordability means that this technology is no longer the reserve only of big pharmas”.
