Long-life metal-halide lamp

TechnoLab have extended their range of metal-halide light sources.

The pre-aligned external light source TecXon by TechnoLab has been designed for any technical microscope and endoscope. The sun-like spectrum with a high white level permits all kinds of illuminations, from complicated inspections to simple lighting.

With a working life of up to 6,000 hours, the TecXon metal-halide lamp multiplies the normal life expectancy by a factor of nearly 20 and therefore considerably reduces long-term overheads.

As against conventional cold light sources, TecXon is also available in UV-A and UV-B versions. It is also suited for the inspection of objects sensible to heat, because the light transmitted by a liquid light guide does not heat up the inspection object.

The metal halide lamp has been designed for technical illumination purposes as well as stereo microscopes. The optimized interior ventilation does not only keep TecXon cool, but also makes it quieter and smaller than the external light sources of other manufacturers. TecXon is available from 35W to 80W.
