Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for scientific, industrial and surveillance markets, is pleased to announce the INFINITY ANALYZE for Mac application package, a new offering for INFINITY camera users operating on Apple Macintosh.

Built from the ground up, INFINITY ANALYZE for Mac is a completely new application designed specifically for advanced imaging in the life science, clinical and industrial research markets operating on a Mac platform. This standalone application allows users to easily capture and process images with high quality reproducibility and accuracy. INFINITY ANALYZE for Mac
features a useful and intuitive Graphical User Interface with user-friendly camera controls, calibration, measurement and annotation.

"The rapid adoption of Macintosh in the research sector has led to the demand for robust, user-friendly software." said Ian Holland, Senior Applications Engineer at Lumenera. "While Lumenera has offered INFINITY camera support as a plug-in through ImageJ for several years, we are now excited to deliver this standalone imaging solution that will meet the needs of microscopy camera users on the Mac platform."

Divided into three parts, the INFINITY ANALYZE on Mac application follows a simple workflow. The unique Video, Browser and Process Views allow the user to access and work with images in the way best suited to their needs. The Video View provides a live preview window for the camera image, along with controls for camera settings, filenames and calibration presets. The Browser View displays the captured images from the database with the ability to view thumbnails stored within image galleries. Any image can be quickly opened in the Process View where annotation and measurement are performed. Captured images are stored in a database along with the calibration data. Images can be viewed and stored in many popular formats and records can be exported to a spreadsheet, allowing for ease of analysis and quick reference.

For a hands-on demonstration visit Lumenera at booth #1022 at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland from March 4 to 6, 2013. This initial release of the INFINITY ANALYZE for Mac operating on OS X 10.7 Lion and greater is currently available for download at www.lumenera.com.
