Lyovapor™ L-250 eco-friendly freeze-drying solution

The Lyovapor™ L-250 builds on the framework of the existing L-200 model, and offers an extended temperature range. The introduction of EcoStream™ technology has reduced the environmental footprint of the instrument without compromising on efficiency and reliability. The compressor design uses natural coolants and achieves an ice condenser temperature of -85ºC. The coolant gas used has a low global warming potential (GWP) of just 4, helping to make the instrument the most environmentally sustainable solution available to date.

Heat output and noise emissions have also been reduced, contributing to a better working environment. The design ensures that high efficiency does not compromise performance, making it the perfect choice for laboratories looking to reduce their environmental footprint without sacrificing quality.

The Lyovapor L-250 comes in basic or pro configurations with touchscreen controls and a wide range of drying chambers for basic and advanced processes. The instrument features a total capacity of 5 kg and a condensing capacity of 4 kg/24 h for aqueous or organic mixtures. This allows for a high degree of flexibility and contributes to a fast, efficient, and sample-quality focused freeze-drying process.

The L-250 guarantees a stable condenser temperature that allows for complete solvent collection, even for large sample batches. For delicate samples, the instrument features a sample protective state that ensures such products are treated with care by activating if the sample temperature rises above the set collapse temperature. Endpoint determination guarantees efficiency for the customer, and the compact design ensures that the unit can easily be installed on a bench, trolley, or fume hood.

In addition, the L-250 includes Infinite-Control™ technology, a digital feature that allows remote process control and monitoring via interface, software and app. Process parameters are available via live graphics on the instrument’s display. The Lyovapor software allows the logging of data and recording of charts in real-time. The mobile app enables the monitoring of the process run from any location and provides push notifications updating you on the freeze-drying progress.
