Malvern Instruments is showcasing the innovative Morphologi G3-ID particle characterization system at Drug Delivery to the Lungs 24 (DDL24), from 11 - 13 December 2013 at the Edinburgh International Centre, Edinburgh, Scotland. During the event Malvern specialists will be on hand to demonstrate the Morphologi G3-ID and to illustrate the system’s increasing application within inhaled product development.

The Morphologi G3-ID forms part of Malvern’s expanding toolkit of technologies that are enabling researchers to understand and optimize the delivery of drugs using inhaler, nebulizer and nasal spray devices. By combining automated image analysis with Raman spectroscopy, the system provides the component-specific particle characterization capabilities required to study how particle size and shape, along with formulation composition, may affect drug delivery. When used alongside the real-time droplet and particle size data generated by the Malvern Spraytec laser diffraction particle size analyzer, this helps support more efficient and cost-effective development of both innovator and generic OINDP products.
