MANTECH INC., a leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment, has introduced a robust and durable Automated Water Sample Collection System (AWSCS) for water security monitoring after discovering the demand for a water security monitoring solutions from their customers.

The AWSCS adds to their growing list of water security products which includes the new PeCOD®, a fast, safe, accurate and green method for measuring chemical oxygen demand (COD), and the TitraSip SA, which is the only environmental titrator verified by the US EPA’s Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program. The MANTECH AWSCS enables Government Environmental Agencies to automatically collect water samples for a variety of bench scale analyses including microbiological, GC and HPLC.

The AWSCS includes a built-in overflow vessel, which allows your water source to be directly connected, and drain back to the water source or waste. The AWSCS allows easy analysis of environmental parameters such as pH, conductivity, turbidity, alkalinity and COD directly from the overflow vessel simultaneously with sample collection. The frequency of sample collection is user defined, for example, every 30 minutes, and several different sample containers can be used including septum sealed. The system utilizes a piston based, syringe-less and valve-less pump that can accurately and precisely collect volumes without any cross contamination. The AWSCS is capable of collecting samples 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, completely unattended. A video showing the AWSCS in action is available on the MANTECH website.
