Micronic releases unique non-coded externally threaded sample storage tubes
13 Apr 2020Micronic, one of the leaders in innovative sample storage and automation solutions, has announced the release of the new 0.30ml, 0.75ml and 1.40ml Non-Coded Tubes with External Thread in 96-well format.
The Micronic Non-coded Tubes provide an affordable way to improve sample preparation, processing, screening and logistics. Many laboratories use the non-coded tubes for testing, intermediate processes such as homogenizing samples using beads or short-term storage. Moreover, the polypropylene tubes offer reliable options for maintaining the integrity of tube contents at temperature down to vapor phase LN2, allowing to store samples confidently. The internal V-shape of the tubes provides the lowest possible dead volume and maximum recovery of scarce samples.
Due to thick tube walls, the tube has a sturdy design and superb properties for ultra-low temperature storage. Using externally threaded storage tubes eliminates the possibility of the sample coming into contact with the screw thread, minimizing chance of cross-contamination while improving sample integrity. A triple start thread offers excellent closure to ensure safe sample preservation and storage. These sample tubes can also hold a higher (net) volume of material while occupying the same amount of storage space, maximizing storage volume.
The Micronic 0.30ml, 0.75ml and 1.40ml Non-coded Tubes are available in bulk or in the Micronic 96-well format Ultra-Low Temperature Rack. The automation-friendly rack is absolutely traceable courtesy of the laser-etched alphanumeric visual located on top of the racks, and a unique laser-etched 1D barcode on the side of the racks. An excellent combination of a cost-effective solution with the rack traceability without compromising sample quality and safety.
Drawing upon proprietary Micronic technology, the automated Screw Cap Recapper CS700, semi-automatic handheld Screw Cap Recapper CS500 or manual Screw Cap Recapper CS100 offer users the ability to cap, decap or recap externally thread tubes with Screw Caps.
