Microplate Reader Announced For F-7000 Fluorescence Spectrophotometer

Lambda Advanced Technology announces the availability of a new microplate reader accessory for the Hitachi F-7000 Fluorescence Spectrophotometer. Designed for use with commercially available 96-well microplates, the new accessory allows comprehensive measurements from each well, including emission and excitation wavelength scans, photometry and time scan. Kinetics measurements can be made simultaneously from all 96 wells in just 60 seconds.

The high detection sensitivity (5x10-11 mol/L for fluoroscein) and broad dynamic range ensures that the accessory can be used with samples having a wide range of fluorescence intensities. Sample temperatures can be controlled between 5ºC and 60ºC by feeding water from a thermostatic bath. In addition, the accessory is equipped with a standard sample holder so that a conventional cell may be used without having to remove the microplate accessory.

The F-7000's versatile FL Solutions measurement and control software controls operation of the accessory and measurements may be made on all wells or individually selected wells. Individual data records are created for each well for convenient post measurement processing.

The F-7000 Fluorescence Spectrophotometer offers both ultra-high sensitivity and high speed scanning (60,000 nm/min) for accurate trace sample measurements. FL Solutions software is intuitive to use and enables analysts to generate reports easily and efficiently.
