Millipore Showcases Latest Offerings for the Laboratory Market at Pittcon 2006

18 Apr 2006

Pittcon is always a big event for Millipore’s Bioscience division. This year Millipore launched two key products: the Milli-Q® Advantage water purification system and Milli-SPE™ cartridges. Both of these new offerings are a critical part of the sample preparation workflow.

Millipore also held a press conference addressing how scientific trends are impacting the laboratory environment and the manufacturers who supply equipment to labs. Guest speakers included Dan Watch of Perkins and Will (a leading U.S. architectural engineering firm), who talked about the evolution of lab design, and Odelia Nahum, a research scientist at Columbia University Medical Center, who talked about the center’s successful use of Millipore’s Direct-Q 3 water purification system in their new laboratory. Jon DiVincenzo, vice president of R&D and marketing at Millipore, discussed the importance of flexibility in meeting the needs of different disciplines and evolving lab requirements. Demonstrating the flexibility principle, Millipore’s new products (Milli-Q Advantage system and Direct-Q® 3 system) were designed to adapt easily to varying lab environments.
